As a hardware independent integrated logistic solutions provider, RLS designs and delivers future-proof warehouse solutions combining an unique mix of innovative and state-of-the-art subsystems controlled by their in-house developed Warehouse Control System. The long-lasting and strategic partnerships with leading OEMs in this business in combination with the in–house developed software ensures the best-of-class solution to almost every logistic challenge!
The challenge for this position is to further grow and develop our Pallet Warehouse Automation solutions. Looking at our portfolio, typically the pallet shuttle and stacker crane based solutions are within the focus area for these heavy load offerings. In this role you will report to the Sales Director DACH.
Sales Organization
The Sales organization consists of a team of Account Managers, Sales Engineers, Sales Consultants and Marketing Specialists. Within a multi-functional and often multi-cultural team, future proof solutions are designed and offered to our customers.
Sold projects are handed over to the project execution team, which ensures that the projects are successfully completed and handed over to both the customer as well as the service organization.
Main tasks and responsibilities
- Meet or exceed the order intake targets, demonstrating a strategic approach to market penetration and revenue growth;
- Lead generation to facilitate the order intake and growth;
- Actively drive business development with a specific focus on pallet shuttles, stacker cranes, and shuttle based warehouse automation solutions;
- Leverage an established network in the intralogistics industry, particularly with end customers and consultants, to generate new opportunities;
- Development of leads into written orders;
- Strengthen and maintain relationships with OEMs, ensuring alignment and cooperation for mutual success;
- Effectively manage both external (clients, consultants, suppliers) and internal stakeholders, facilitating buy-in and support for solution proposals at various organizational levels;
- Stay informed about industry trends, competitive landscape, and technological advancements to identify new business opportunities and enhance value propositions;
- Ensure adherence to company policies, rules, and regulations, maintaining the highest standards of professional conduct.
Personal qualities and competences
- A bachelor’s degree and/or equivalent professional ability, within a technical and business field;
- Strong commercial skills and the ability to transform customer needs into technical requirements and system solutions and business opportunities;
- Preferably more years of commercial working experience with high-value engineered solutions;
- Native German speaking and mastering the English language both in word and writing;
- Proven track record in pallet shuttle systems, stacker cranes, and/ or heavy load based warehouse automation with strong market references;
- Extensive network within the intralogistics sector in Germany;
- Ability to work effectively in a diverse, international team environment, demonstrating cultural awareness and adaptability;
- Strong negotiating and contractual skills, with legal knowledge to support CAPEX contract negotiations and protect company interests;
- Proven experience in B2B sales with extended sales cycles, demonstrating a track record for achieving commercial results;
- In-depth knowledge of automated warehouse solutions and their applications;
- A proactive, results-driven approach with a proven ability to achieve and exceed sales targets;
- Readiness to travel frequently to meet clients and colleagues across the region.
